WHAT’S INVOLVED IN REMOVING A TREE STUMP?

We use a range of stump removal equipment depending on the job size and access issues.

High speed cutting heads with carbide tipped teeth rip through stumps down to well below ground level (as much as 400mm) turning your pesky stump into a fantastic pile of garden mulch or compost.

For light jobs or where access is a problem we use a handheld stump grinder with a high speed cutting head that makes short work of stumps even in the tightest of spaces.

With medium jobs we use a Rhyscorp Stumphumper—its powerful 27hp engine and 400mm diameter cutting wheel can chomp your stumps down to 400mm below the ground.

For heavy duty work (such as trees around the metre mark in diameter) we tend to turn to our Rayco 35hp rubber tracked beast.

The rubber tracks and ability to turn on the spot minimize any turf damage and allow us to go where ordinary machines can’t and the massive 43cm cutting wheel makes plants versus zombies look like a picnic.

Our medium sized stump grinder requires a mere 770mm space for access whereas our handheld unit has no access restrictions. We can take our articulated units around tight corners and even negotiate stairs or steep banks.

We do that all important Dial Before You Dig (DBYD) search for underground services such as broadband, power, gas or water and we are covered by insurance for your peace of mind.

We use an Alpine Rhino cutting wheel system. It’s unique in Australia and it increases our cutting speed, extends the life of the teeth, and reduces our maintenance costs. This means we can do the job faster and you pay less.

We can probably remove your stumps more cheaply than you can hire a machine and do it yourself.
